The AK Party's three-day 32nd Consultation and Evaluation meeting outlined a roadmap for the Terrorism-Free Turkey process. Ministers addressed MPs' proposals and answered their questions under the heading "common sense."
According to reports, members of parliament posed questions to President Erdoğan and ministers on various topics. In response to the MPs' question, "Will terrorism end this period?", President Erdoğan reportedly said, "Yes, it will. This time it's happening. Why didn't it end before? This period is ending. First, we changed the context of this period. The support of our alliance partner, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), was effective. We supported the administration of our neighbors (Syria and Northern Iraq). There will be positive developments both in the region and in our country." Erdoğan reportedly cited examples from the past regarding the era of terrorism, explaining that Turkey has become a global talking point in the fields of defense, diplomacy, and the economy .
Şimşek opposed the restructuring demandsThe second main topic of the camp was reportedly the economy. Deputies, while sharing their on-the-ground impressions, reportedly said, "Retirees and civil servants receive raises twice a year. Why not minimum wage earners? This creates injustice among workers. Citizens complain about economic hardship, exorbitant prices that fluctuate daily, high interest rates, and uncontrollably rising rents."
Some members of parliament reportedly called for diversification and increased restructuring, particularly for loans and credit cards. Treasury and Finance Minister Şimşek objected and criticized the idea of restructuring everything. It was alleged that Şimşek argued that restructuring everything eventually leads to a habit of defaulting on debt.
“Thanks to Ala, praise to Elitaş”AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala reportedly gave a comprehensive presentation on the Terror-Free Turkey process and shared information about the upcoming process. Erdoğan and the MPs thanked Ala for his comprehensive and explanatory statement on the process.
At the camp meeting, Deputy Chairman Mustafa Elitaş, known as the AK Party's political savant, delivered a speech titled "Organizational Culture and Being an AK Party Member," in which he explained how the AK Party overcame challenges such as the closure case and the 367 crisis, highlighting the importance of organizational culture. Members of Parliament heaped praise on Elitaş's presentation.
The drought was highlighted at the meeting, and it was stated that Bulgaria had requested water and that bilateral talks were ongoing. It was also stated that Türkiye's water demand from Northern Iraq had been met. It was also reported that a "live broadcast" discussion had taken place between AK Party Deputy Chairman for Media, Faruk Acar, and Group Chairman Abdullah Güler.
